Santa Caterina Hotel

We spent 4 wonderful nights at Santa Caterina and I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my birthday! If you're visiting the Amalfi Coast and want to experience true Italian luxury, this is definitely the place to stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views, elegant rooms, and exceptional service. Everything feels so authentic and thoughtfully done. The beach club is fantastic, especially the saltwater pool right by the sea. And the elevator carved into the cliff, with views of the Mediterranean as you go down, is just WOW! Such a unique experience. Breakfast was amazing, with a beautiful setting and a great selection of food. Another lovely touch is that you can actually purchase beautiful, locally made ceramics right at the hotel. They also offer a convenient shuttle service into Amalfi, which we really appreciated. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. Santa Caterina made my birthday even more special, and I would come back in a heartbeat! Ate at Glicine restaurant. We had high hopes as it’s in the Michelin guide and highly rated. It’s true. The food was modern and flavorful and technically superior to many restaurants. However, even though the service was also well orchestrated there was a table of six next to us that dominated our experience. Not the guests, but the staff. They would park their bus cart right in front of our table, blocking the view, and busily huurried around it serving the six guests next to us. We had the five course tasting menu they seemed to have six or seven courses, but we waited for long periods of time between our courses while that table was being pampered constantly. It was almost like a three ring circus around us. We couldn’t relax or enjoy our dinner because in between the marvelous courses were great periods of time where all we had was distraction from the theater of the service of this other table. The food was good. The location was fantastic, but our experience was dominated by service to another table. And although the food was good, I think the price was still too high at €480 for two for what we got, without expensive drink.

The most wonderful experience! From check-in to check-out, Hotel Santa Caterina was undoubtedly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone we encountered—from the front desk to the restaurant teams—was incredibly kind, warm, attentive, and intentional. The level of hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning, overlooking the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, was easily one of my favorite parts of the experience. It’s the kind of view you never quite get used to. Our room was beautiful, elegant, and incredibly comfortable—and the shower was pure bliss after long days exploring the coast! Santa Caterina is one of those rare hotels where the beauty of the property is matched by the quality of the service. An unforgettable stay, and a hotel I would happily return to again and again. ❤️

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel was spotless, bright and comfortable, and the view was breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent, and the chefs deserve a special thank-you for the delicious food. Angelo was incredibly professional, as was Fabio at Al Mera restaurant. The rest of the team were also kind and attentive, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Restaurant Glicine was exceptional. Me and my partner had one of the most beautiful culinary and hospitality experience there. Highly recommended. Even if you don't have a niche for gourmet food just visit for a one time experience it won't let you down. Cant fault anything at all. The moment we entered the place to the point we left it was just perfect. Grazie to everyone in the restaurant involved. You guys make it special.
