What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. We also use similar technologies like browser local storage and pixels. On this page we refer to all of these as "cookies" for simplicity.

Cookies and trackers we use

  • Authentication cookies (strictly necessary). Our auth provider sets session and refresh-token cookies (prefixed sb-) so you stay signed in between visits. Without these, sign-in doesn't work.
  • PostHog (product analytics). We use PostHog to understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them. PostHog sets a cookie to recognize repeat visits and records pseudonymized session events. Analytics is used in aggregate. In the EEA and UK, you'll see a consent prompt before analytics cookies are set.
  • Google OAuth. When you use "Sign in with Google," Google sets cookies during the sign-in handshake to authenticate you and protect against abuse. Those cookies are set by Google and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Third parties

Some cookies are set by trusted infrastructure providers we use to deliver the service, including our authentication, analytics, and sign-in providers. They are bound by data-processing agreements and may only use the data on our behalf.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features. EEA and UK residents will see a consent prompt for non-essential cookies (including PostHog analytics) on first visit, and can change that choice at any time.
