The hotel is in a beautiful location, but unfortunately, the service and dining experience left a lot to be desired. The restaurant only serves food if you make a reservation in advance, which is quite inconvenient for guests staying at the hotel. During our stay, we were celebrating one of our group’s birthdays. We were initially offered a choice of two menus, only to be told later that everyone had to choose the same three-course menu. This was disappointing, especially for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the food was very poor. Most of the dishes were left uneaten because they simply weren’t enjoyable. The octopus, in particular, was so tough and rubbery that it was almost impossible to eat. It’s a shame because the location itself is lovely, but the quality of the food and the level of service do not live up to expectations. There is definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to customer service, flexibility, and food quality.
A spectacular wedding venue and Tuscan getaway! We stayed at Castello Bonaria for 3 days for a wedding, and it was an absolutely flawless experience. The venue itself is gorgeous—the pool area was perfect, and the main dinner on the front lawn was stunning. The rooms are incredibly spacious, the staff is super friendly, and you get amazing, sweeping views over both the Tuscan hills and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a fantastic place for family trips and large group events. Highly recommended!
An amazing venue with very helpfull staff and delicious food. I proposed to my girlfriend at the castle and made contact with the restaurant beforehand. They made sure a rose was waiting on our table. Big compliments!
This beautifully restored castle offers an unforgettable experience, but what truly sets it apart is its world-class team. I actually started keeping a list of staff members to praise individually, but it quickly became too long because every single person was extraordinary! From the welcoming front desk and attentive restaurant crew to the knowledgeable vineyard team and meticulous housekeeping staff, everyone goes above and beyond. Their genuine warmth, courtesy, and flawless professionalism made our stay perfect. The hotel is a perfect location to explore Tuscany and the many historical towns.
Lovely hotel. Beautiful quiet location. Can see the coast and surrounding countryside and hills. The spa is very nice. All the staff are brilliant. Rooms are lovy. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant and food is excellent. There is just an outside pool which is quite cold.
