Wonderful! We happened upon this magical place while driving through Tuscany. Dani gave us a tour and we had wine and a selection of carefully prepared and beautifully plated cheeses and charcuterie of the region. He took excellent care of us. This is the perfect venue for a wedding or family gathering—as well as for a romantic escape! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Castello di Gargonza is pure Tuscan magic. I booked the castle for a culture + yoga “Vivere” in 2025 for my group of 16 friends and it was so wonderful that we returned again in 2026. The moment we stepped through the medieval stone gates time just slowed down, it’s so peaceful, the golden light makes everything feel like a painting, and you can’t beat the view - framed by olive, oak and cypress trees. Staying at the Castello is like walking back in time, and what’s especially magical is that the owner Neri traces his family roots back to Gargonza since 1600’s. He welcomes you like family, sharing stories of the castle’s history with so much warmth and pride you can feel it in every corner. The staff treat you like family. If you’re booking a group event, be sure to contact Roberta, she was fantastic, speaks fluent English, took care of every detail and made me feel so welcomed. The lovely staff go beyond service - they remember your name, your coffee order, and are full of smiles and joy. I highly recommend the lively cooking class and be sure to include the local wine pairings to go with the chefs locally imbued tastings. Leaving Gargonza is like saying goodbye to people you’ll miss. I’ll be back for a third Yoga Vivere, it’s pure Dolce Vita!

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi did not work in our room at all (but worked in the hallways), cellular was also poor but that's not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast variety could have been better (especially bread), but the garden / view compensated it. Parking was ok, but I don't understand why the signs say go to the lower part where the road is just so much worse compared one that goes to the gate (many visitors parked there). Pool was clean and well maintained.

An incredible experience from start to finish. Staying in the castle was magical, the hospitality was amazing, and the restaurant was great too. Highly recommend.

While driving and exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside, we noticed a beautiful tower and decided to drive in that direction. We arrived at the immaculately kept property and the place was completely deserted. We later found out that it was used primarily for special events. While walking around the grounds, a gentleman came out and greeted us. Before we knew it, he had set up a table for us, we selected a great bottle of wine, and he brought us an incredible plate of mostly local cheeses and charcuterie. Dani made an unexpected stop into an incredible experience. His knowledge of the property and the area was impressive. He was super kind and welcoming and made that stop into one of the best experiences of our entire trip. If you're planning a truly magical event in Tuscany, I cannot think of a better place than Castello di Gargonza. Grazie Dani 🙏
