Refined property with elegant dining, a fitness center & an outdoor saltwater pool.
I did not want to like the Westin but it is tough to beat. The convenience; close to oxbow, free shuttles to downtown, rooms large enough for our small family to have plenty of space for everyone. We brought my son’s bike and he loved the big open space right next door. The view of the river and the hills in the morning was great. There is a nice kid friendly pool area and restaurant on site. We stayed in room 3024 and it was great. If you are visiting Napa proper with a group or small family the Westin is a great option that I would like to return to when we can.
Overall, a good experience. The service was excellent, and the location was very convenient. My only disappointment was the condition of the rooms. The furniture and carpeting were noticeably dated and could definitely use an update. For the price you're paying, you would expect more modern furnishings and better-maintained interiors. That said, the staff provided great service, which was certainly a highlight of the stay.
Westin staff could not have been nicer. Location to downtown Napa and views of the river wonderful. They gave us an incentive to eat at Le Toq the restaurant next door. We canceled a reservation and went there instead. BEST meal we ate in Napa— which is saying something. Service at Le Toq also impeccable— food even better. The wine list extensive.
I just left the Westin Versa Napa. Room was okay. Basic. But my issue is that it doesn't look like ANYTHING the picture represents. There's construction going on. And the signs for directing you to the entrance aren't at the beginning of the construction site. You have to depend on guests leaving the property telling you where to go to gain access. The best part of my stay was in the bar. The bartender Cruz made me a drink called Miami Heat. It was delicious and appropriately named. Just enough heat added to the vodka. Also enjoyed the spicy popcorn tossed with Old Bay! Great appetizer. My main course was the Shrimp Tacos. A menagerie of tastes teetering on sweet and spicy equating delicious. Service at the Bar was intentional and good considering the Brian Culbertson Napa Jazz Getaway VIP dinner was held there and also serving as the host hotel for the Jazz Getaway event. Kudos to Cruz and bar of Westin Versa Napa.
The location was great, easily accessible for the larger Napa area. My kids really enjoyed the pool. It was easy to get in/out with parking onsite. I'm not sure of the need for Valet as it seemed like I could have easily just parked my car in the parking deck but it was included in the mandatory facility price anyway so I went along with it. We had a full kitchen in our room which was really nice since we pack our own meals on daytrips around the area. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a can opener. That would have been nice so we could have more easily prepared meals. I'll be honest I don't think many people use the full kitchen often saying here. The resort itself was comfortable and really quiet given how much there was in the surrounding area. You can easily walk to a lot of places in Napa from this resort. I would definitely stay again.
