This is not a commentary on the service of the staff, which has been excellent. This review is a warning to others: if you are in any way sensitive to noise, or believe the fundamental purpose of a hotel is to provide a relaxing and quiet environment for rest, then do not stay here. I am in a “deluxe” room on the third floor, but I might as well be in hell. First, the door of the hotel room is made of glass, which is just a totally baffling design choice. There is a curtain to cover it but a little bit of light creeps into the room at night and it provides no noise insulation. The hallway is also enclosed in glass, so you can hear very clearly the music from the inner courtyard / restaurant. I could have muted my television and still understood word for word the narration of the World Cup match that they also were showing in the restaurant. I actually noticed the hallway glass walls had little windows open, so I shut all of them and that reduced the noise quite a bit. But you can still hear music from the restaurant, albeit faintly, in the room until 10 pm. All of this would have been avoided by having a regular door. Second, on this floor you can hear everything that happens on the floor above. I haven’t been up to the rooftop/terrace bar but I can attest to how thoroughly they clean everything from 10-11 pm, as I have been witness to every step in the process. Just as I was about to drift off to sleep at 10:45pm someone started dragging chairs around, so here I am writing this review (rant).
All the staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was spacious and housekeeping did a great cleaning each day. Breakfast was a true delight. All the waitstaff provided great service, especially Maria Carmen and Maria Guadalupe.
Great hotel, great location, and amazing service. We couldn’t ask for more. We stayed for one night for an event. It’s ideal for couples—not really a kids-focused hotel. I would definitely come back for a longer stay. The location is far enough from the noise, yet close enough for a short walk to the main downtown area with bars, shops, and restaurants. A big plus is the included breakfast—it’s a full menu, not just coffee and fruit. Luis and the staff treated us amazing.
This was our first visit to San Miguel de Allende, and this spot quickly became a favorite for its prime location, vibrant bar scene, and genuinely welcoming staff. We ended up stopping in four times during our stay—including watching the Super Bowl on the rooftop, which was an absolute blast. The management team was exceptionally personable, and the service staff was outstanding. After our first visit, they remembered our drink orders and had them ready almost immediately when we returned—a small detail that speaks volumes about their attentiveness. The property itself is upscale, beautifully designed, and has a great energy. We’re seriously considering staying here on our next trip.
Wonderful hotel. Near the cathedral & main square . Also near the Instituto Allende. The breakfasts were stellar. We also loved their pear & date salad, as well as their pizza. The staff were wonderful. We were offered cold water bottles on our way out & when returning. Always friendly & helpful. Our room was straightened twice a day, with small treats left for us to enjoy. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The rooms all open to a corridor around a central courtyard, which is covered during the heat of the day. The cover can be retracted at night to let the evening cooler air inside the hotel. Each room also has a standing room only balcony. The rooftop is lovely at night with dining & setting area. Great views of the city.
