Trail Creek Ranch

Definitely a place you’ll want to stay if you’re looking for a beautiful view and a stay close to Jackson, WY, while being in the midst of nature. It’s quiet and relaxing there and just a few minutes away from Jackson Square and the NP entrances. Our stay in the Wyllis cabin was near perfection! Had deer by the front porch and a moose by the gate every morning. The cabin was cozy and comfortable with a history all its own. Everything here is authentic! Even the furniture in the cabin! Alex is a great host, too! Very attentive to any questions we had. She also welcomed us warmly even when we arrived much later than planned! One of my favorite places to stay while visiting the Jackson Hole area. Will definitely be back!

This place is so peaceful, quiet and lovely that you never want to leave. It's pastoral beauty within beautiful mountains. Our room was extremely comfortable, with a view of the beautiful barn and pastures, where each day we would feed carrots to the horses. The little kitchen enabled us to eat in whenever we wanted (and there is a very upscale market in the little hamlet of Wilson just down the road) and it was an easy 15 mile drive into Jackson if we wanted to eat there instead. Alex and her family are the best---warm, welcoming, filled with information about hikes, restaurants, whatever you need. We walked up the road and had a beautiful hike to a small pond. We played corn hole and horse shoes. What a wonderful place to be. I highly recommend doing yourself a favor and staying here.

What a wodnerful last stop on our trip West. We spent three nights in Alex's Cabin, which was charming, very well equipped and extremely comfortable, with the most wonderful front deck and view. There were lots of dining options in nearby Jackson but all we wanted at the end of the day was to enjoy that deck, cook something on the grill, watch and listen to the horses & mule deer and see the light change across the mountains. Sooo serene. Fantastic assortment of info. on the ranch (cool founding story!), Jackson, and nearby things to do see & do. Trails right from the ranch. And to top it all off, Alex could not have been more accommodating and everyone we met was super welcoming. Highly, highly recommend.

This is a truly unique and special place with a very cool history. Small, cozy, real. And they treated us like special guests- meeting us as we arrived, giving us a tour of the ranch and making suggestions for dining, activities etc. We had a wonderful time relaxing, napping, reading, feeding the horses and soaking up the beauty. We stayed in the Sargent Room- perfect for a couple. This is what we came to Jackson for. Not some commercial hotel on the main drag. Just peaceful quiet and natural beauty. Would definitely recommend it!! I’m ready to go back!

There aren’t enough words to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Trail Creek Ranch. The atmosphere of the entire place is magical. We often don’t spend a lot of time at the places we rent because we are on the go exploring the area. But Trail Creek was so special it slowed us down. Which was a good thing!! We spent many hours playing corn hole (in our bare feet because the grass is perfection) and enjoying the view! Alex was a gem! As were Mike and Bill! We enjoyed getting to know the whole crew! Thank you for making us feel at home!
