Upscale resort with posh wooden cottages, plus a hot-springs pool and an organic restaurant.
I am writing to share how much I enjoyed my recent stay at your beautiful hotel and spa. It truly felt like paradise. I spent an entire day exploring your fantastic facilities, including the indoor and outdoor gym, sauna, steam room, cold plunge, mineral jacuzzi, Olympic-size pool, and hot tubs. Everything was wonderful, and the large pool was a particular highlight. I also loved the food, the Caesar salads are a must, and I even ordered them three times during my stay. Most importantly, I want to commend Sydney for her exceptional hospitality. She truly made our stay memorable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We spent three nights here and it was amazing. The staff were all supremely hospitable and helpful. We unfortunately arrived during a power black out, but they were able to keep some services running, and very apologetic about the inconvenience. The amenities were awesome; we got to borrow bikes to ride into downtown Calistoga for a morning coffee. And I was able to borrow a Mercedes Benz Maybach for an evening to go to dinner. The grounds were properly maintained and impeccable. The fitness center was excellent with tons of machines. And the main pool was the most perfect temperature for swimming anytime of day. The room was beautiful and it was so nice having our own little cottage for the weekend. It does cost a pretty penny to stay here, but honestly it was one of best properties I've ever had the pleasure of staying at.
Relaxed, Private, and Genuinely Welcoming Solage has a way of making you feel genuinely cared for from the moment you arrive — Management was exceptionally attentive and responsive throughout our stay, the kind of presence that elevates an already lovely property into something that feels truly personal. Mineral Pools The mineral pools are a standout feature. What we especially appreciated was the access hours extending well into the evening — a thoughtful touch that allows guests to unwind on their own schedule rather than racing the clock. The pool vibes overall were exactly what you want: relaxed, unhurried, and beautiful. Cottages & Privacy The cottage layout is cleverly designed. While the individual cottages sit in close proximity to one another, each has its own private courtyard that remains completely screened from neighbors. The result is a combination of privacy and walkability — you feel tucked away without feeling isolated, and getting around the property is effortless. Town is also an easy walk for shopping and any dinners off property. Food The food was excellent across the board — another area where Solage delivers without missing a beat. Overall Solage is all about genuinely attentive hospitality, thoughtful design, and an atmosphere that invites you to truly relax. A wonderful Calistoga stay we'd return to without hesitation.
I would love to give this place a stars across the board... However... This was my first time at a 5 star resort and service workers were absolutely fantastic. But the hotel was overbooked. We had a concierge but they did not book any of the services we requested. Our stay was for 3 days and we couldn't even get a a single massage, nor a body scrub or even a facial. It was both our birthdays... This is just unacceptable for a place of this caliber. We actually had to offsight to get a couples massage which in my eyes is ridiculous. The food was wonderful. Especially breakfast but dinner service was also overbooked. We waited 45 minutes past our reservation for a drink and finally gave up. The restaurant manager was very nice and comped our meal but that didnt fix the ruined experience. Would definitely go back if management fixes these issues but until then really hope they pay more attention to their guests that pay for this experience. Not everyone has thousands to just drop at a place like this.
One of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in - spacious, so comfortable, and the service was impeccable. The restaurant is delicious; I had the best crab Benedict I've ever had, twice. The spa area is beautiful and restful, and I really enjoyed all of the plunge pools, sauna, etc. whitall guests can take advantage of.
