Bardessono Hotel and Spa

What a Pleasant experience we had at our stay at the Bardessono. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with Friendly staff who was eager to welcome us for a weekend in Napa. The Concierge’s Matt was extremely helpful and on the ball to meet all of our needs. The car services dropped us off for dinner and was kind enough to even be on the lookout for us on the way back. We decided to start walking back as some members of our group had taken the car service back to the hotel, but he still swung around to scoop us up and deliver us back to the hotel. The breakfast every day was delicious and the service staff was very attentive. Even at the end of the evening we enjoyed sitting out by the fire pits and a service staff was sure to attend to all of our needs. What a great experience it was to stay and luxuriate for the weekend !

I recently stayed at the Bardessono and my experience was incredible. It was for my engagement and the resort went above and beyond to make me and my partner feel special and welcomed. We were immediately upgraded upon checking in when they knew it was our engagement. The room was incredibly stunning and large and was the perfect place to celebrate such a momentous occasion. The service was among the best I’ve ever received at any hotel or resort. We were able to take out one of the many Lexus cars that they have on property for our engagements and that was very fun and exciting. The restaurants on site was also extremely delicious. The grounds are kept immaculately and the pool was gorgeous. Perfect place to cool off after a day of wine tasting location. Location is right in the heart of all the action with the best restaurants within walking distance. The resort goes above and beyond I cannot say enough great things. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone going wine tasting in Napa for a luxurious experience.

If you’re looking for the perfect stay in Yountville, this is it. The hospitality was top tier. We were warmly welcomed by Ray and Alicia with champagne/wine and given a tour of the property and our room. We worked with Matt in concierge to book two wine tastings/tours that we could not have gotten into ourselves on such short notice. He was a wealth of knowledge and we are so happy we trusted his expertise and suggestions. Nick and two other valet men were so kind and courteous. Being able to take their Lexus’ out for test drives was so fun! There were so many other little details that really set the bar so high for us. Did I mention the location is PERFECT?!

Really enjoyed our stay at Bardessono. Even though it’s a fairly large hotel, it never feels crowded, which we really liked. Big thank you for the upgrade through our Chase card — our villa was beautiful and extremely spacious. And when I say spacious, the shower and bathroom were probably the size of an average San Francisco apartment :) Breakfast was good. The rooftop pool and spa area is great, with comfortable loungers and sofas and a very relaxed atmosphere. There is even a small gym, and I really enjoyed taking some dumbbells outside and working out in the sun next to the pool. And don’t forget to take the bikes! It’s a really charming and easy ride on mostly flat roads, with beautiful views of the vineyards along the way. Overall a very nice and relaxing stay. We would happily come back.

I feel we’re being generous with our rating, as there were numerous areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Our requested housekeeping service times were not followed, poolside bar service was unavailable despite being told someone would be sent up, and our room backed up to a private residence with a barking dog. It was also adjacent to employee parking, where noise and activity beginning around 6 a.m. regularly woke us, including an accidental car alarm one morning. The spa had amenities that were out of order. Beyond these issues, there were numerous smaller frustrations that collectively diminished our stay. At this price point, we expected a much more polished and attentive experience. Ultimately, we left feeling that we paid a premium for a level of luxury and service that simply wasn’t delivered.
