Villa Oliviero

We stayed at Villa Oliviero in late June 2026. I would rate it as an exceptional villa with out of this world views , over 4 floors , with 6 well anointed fully air conditioned bedrooms and 6 bathrooms . We were 7 adults and 6 grandchildren multigenerational family reunion ages 68 to 2 years old. We booked over a year and half ago after detailed search . It’s a wonderful place , originally built many decades ago , fully renovated to all modern luxuries, a great large jacuzzi , terrific swimming pool and outstanding views of positano from everywhere in the villa. Best feature is easy access to public elevator taking us down to street level from liparati area to street level with very easy walk to positano beach and shopping area by winding road or steps . Previous reviews of people climbing 80-100 stairs to reach the villa are now “redundant” as the public elevator built two years ago , is extremely easy to use (at least € 1.0 per person per trip or €75 weekly ) about 50 or so flat level steps from the villa itself and similar on reaching street level to the main road of positano . My wife with osteoarthritis had no problems at all . There is bus stop outside the elevator. The villa is managed by a team lead by concierge Gennaro and his team Aziz and chef Halina who are extremely helpful and reliable around the clock. They cooked us few wonderful dinners. Nello Oliviero is always available on WhatsApp. The villa is spacious , well kept , kitchen is spacious , outdoor dining areas has spectacular views of positano and the sea , day or night . I would rate this as one of the best multigenerational vacation stays we have had . In fact we loved the villa so much that family decided to cancel trip to capri , sorrento and nearby areas in lieu of just absorbing the view and hospitality of the villa itself. Kids loved the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. Villa has an interesting history dating back to hundred years ago based on original stones on the liparati cliff of positano to ownership by German poet Stefan Andres to Bertolli family of olive oil fame , to a surgeon Dr.Oliviero , who last purchased it and subsequently renovated and developed by his grandchildren Nello and Alice .

As a wedding photographer, I've been fortunate to work at some incredible venues around the world, and Villa Oliviero is easily one of the most breathtaking locations I've ever photographed. Perched high above Positano with sweeping views of the Amalfi Coast, every direction you look feels like a postcard. The light, the architecture, the terraces, the gardens—it's almost unfair how photogenic this place is. What really impressed me wasn't just the scenery, but how the villa creates an experience. The ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean was absolutely unforgettable, and as the sun began to set, the entire coastline glowed with that magical golden Italian light photographers dream about. Every corner of the property offered another incredible backdrop, whether it was romantic portraits overlooking the sea, candid moments on the terraces, or the reception under the stars. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making the wedding day perfect. Everything flowed smoothly, which allowed the couple and their guests to relax and enjoy the celebration. If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines luxury, charm, world-class views, and that unmistakable Amalfi Coast magic, Villa Oliviero is something special. It wasn't just a beautiful wedding venue—it was an unforgettable experience.

Where do I start… we had our wedding here in October and it was the most perfect week ever. We planned from California and didn’t see the villa until we arrived for our stay. Any expectations were beyond exceeded, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to have Alice plan the wedding of a lifetime. Since the early booking phase with Nello, everything was seamless and straight forward. 5-star service from the house manager Gennaro, 5-star service from the villa staff daily and on event days (we held 3 at the villa), 5-star rooms and views. We felt like royalty all week and our families cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was. The villa/wedding staff & vendors know exactly what they’re doing, and they are all experts in my opinion! We had no issues that I was aware of on wedding day (as it should be). My only advice is as a US bride, trust the process and have faith that everything will be perfect and beautiful! And be prepared for stairs :)

Last Monday, I had the pleasure of working at this incredible Villa. It wasn’t my first time in this beautiful Positano, but it was my first time at the villa, and it did not disappoint. The entire day was made even better by the amazing staff and the owner, Alice, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The terrace where the couple held their ceremony was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that made the moment even more special. The dinner area was just as beautiful, and the food was nothing short of impeccable. Can’t wait to be back at this dream location!

Wow.... where do I even begin? I got married at Villa Oliviero this October and planned the wedding with Alice for over a year from the U.S. without ever seeing the venue in person. Once we arrived to Positano, met Alice in person and saw the villa, we were immediately at peace with our decision to have an international wedding, especially in Positano. Alice is absolutely amazing, and the villa has the best views in all of Positano, hands down. The steps up to the villa are completely worth it, and we truly had the best wedding experience of our lives there. The rooms are all beautiful, and the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating to our every need. Alice also knows exactly which wedding vendors to hire for your wedding day, and they are all absolutely amazing. I will never be over our florals, cake, the food or any detail. Having our wedding at Villa Oliviero was a dream come true, and I could not recommend this magical place more for a wedding venue in Positano!
